I know its a late post but my life has been pretty hectic lately and it will stay this way for quite some time. Hope ill be able to find time to post up some outdated post :)
Anyways, the Chelsea vs Malaysia XI match was held at Bkt Jalil National Stadium last Thursday (21 July).
Too bad i arrived late which dint allow me to camwhore with my friends sitting around, as when i reach, the game was just about to start. Missed to join the Mexican wave to :(
Theres not much to say about the match, as im not a knowledgeable football fanatic . Heee. So i hope you'll enjoy the pics. Apologies to some blurry poor quality pics as i took them in max zoom and i dont own a DSLR.
Poor spectators that were standing on the stairs while watching the match cause the seats were 99% occupied.
Maybe I was sitting at the wrong area- surrounded by Harimau Malaya fans .
Poor Israeli, Yossi Benayoun, who was Boo-ed when he was in the possession of the ball by the Malaysian spectators cause of the conflict or whateveritis between Islams & Jewish (Israeli) . I understand that Malaysians as a Muslim country are banned from going to Israel, and Jewish teachings are against Islam's, but I personally think it was (in a way) unrespectful and also unprofessional (since when did a spectators became a profession) of the spectators.
He was only here to play football, not going around Malaysia preaching about Jewish etc etc.
Recently, Chelsea also wrote a letter of complaint to Malaysia's Football Association about the matter. More details on CNN; Chelsea complain about anti-Semitic abuse in Malaysian match
causing us, Malaysians, another WorldWide embarrassment.
Police force to escort the players back during Half Time.
Estimated 85,000 fans filled the stadium that night.
I find this picture is an awkward one. Luls.
The medias, Kiasu-ing with their telescope-like cameras.
I wonder if it can be used to see the stars in the sky.
Chelsea Fans dominated the crowd.
At least they were seating on the stairs not like the stairs-standing crowd on my side of the stadium.
Drogba's winning penalty shot.
Chelsea players were also very smart. It was an unsure goal but Chelsea players were jumping in joy celebrating their goal. The linesman/referee see them also sure give them a point lah.
And I think the referee dint want to get into any trouble by not giving Chelsea the point that would have probably caused Chelsea & Malaysia XI a 0-0 Draw.
Here's the Highlights from the match.
Overall, ending the match was rather disappointing and boring with only 1 pathetic Goal within 1hour30mins. Malaysia's football squad that was playing in this friendly match are aged 23 and below- younger less-experience players. The elit Harimau Malaya team that consist of Malaysia's football hero- Safee Sali wasnt present in this match to show off his skills =/
I think if Safee Sali was on the field, It would have been an interesting match for all.
The other day, Watched the match with Singapore and i've gotta say, Harimau Malaya's keeper, #22 - Khairul Fahmi is a pretty awesome keeper.
In my opinion, Chelsea played like crap. Their targets was off. They werent putting on their best like they usually do. I know its not EPL but a friendly match and they are one of the world's best football club. Then again, we wanted to watch their amazing skills that we usually see on the tele - LIVE-live!
With the bro :)
After Chelsea's Training, I learned my lesson and brought a fan. I was sweating like a piggie and it was def a relief.
Plus, it helped with the smokers that was smoking too. Yucks* Whenever i smell smoke. *fan fan fan*
Keep smoke away from me, so do keeping cancer away :)
Last but not least, Thanks to Isaac Lee & www.noobie.my & Samsung for the tickets.
Yes those lenses we use by the side line is long enuf to even shoot stars and moon in the sky.
